About Friends of Anubis

Every dog has
a history.

We’re a foster-based Southern California rescue helping dogs at risk of euthanasia or abandonment find care and suitable homes.

Personality, behavior, health, and everyday routines all matter when finding a home.

Our approach

Understanding
the whole dog.

Rocky’s foster family share his love of belly rubs and the training he needs. Perry’s rescue listing describes the confidence he has gained. Each profile makes room for personality, history, and care.

  1. Know the dog

Read each dog’s profile for personality, everyday routines, and known health and behavior history.

  2. Plan the care

Discuss the individual dog’s needs, introductions, and continuing care before a placement.

  3. Find the fit

The published adoption process includes an application, interview, signed contract, then fee and placement arrangements.
